Elara Medical is a physician-led medical services practice. Our event medicine division is engaged by clients who expect a higher standard of care and a quieter, more composed presence than conventional event EMS provides.

Our teams operate under physician medical direction, with disciplined protocols and equipment selected for outcomes, not optics.

The role

We are hiring EMT-Bs in the Coachella Valley for seasonal work. Two ways to work with us: per diem, taking assignments as they fit your schedule, or seasonal full time, working a consistent schedule across the season. Season dates are shared with candidates during the hiring process.

You provide on-site patient care at assigned events, working under Elara's physician-directed clinical protocols and within your scope of practice. This is field medicine in a client-facing setting. Long stretches are quiet. When something happens, it happens fast, and you are the person expected to recognize it and move.

What you will do

• Assess and treat patients on site within your scope of practice as an EMT-B
• Hold the position assigned to you by Elara operations
• Recognize and respond to injuries and medical emergencies in a variety of event settings
• Monitor radio traffic and communicate with other medical providers to accomplish the mission
• Activate 911 when a patient needs definitive care, and transfer care cleanly to the responding ambulance service
• Complete patient care documentation, including refusals
• Check, maintain and restock assigned equipment before and after every assignment
• Represent Elara in front of clients, guests and participants who expect professionalism

The standard we hold

Elara providers work to written clinical protocols issued under our physician medical direction.

Beyond that, we expect a standard of patient care above what is typical in prehospital medicine. That means:

• Every patient gets a complete assessment
• Every patient contact is documented properly, including refusals
• Nobody is dismissed, rushed, minimized or talked down to, regardless of how minor the complaint looks
• Elite bedside manner is a priority
• Certifications never lapse, and you engage with company assigned education
• You practice within your scope, within California state law, and within all county designated authority
• We encourage providers to hold primary employment at hospitals or in other areas of the medical field while working with Elara, in order to maintain skills and excel in the field
